I have an experience of 40 years, working as Clinical Nutritionist, various reputed Hospitals in India and outside of India and also as a Private Practitioner and Nutrition Educator.

I am the Founder and Director of SS Guiding Stars Pvt Limited operational under the name HealthyNudgez, which is a health and lifestyle blog site and Guiding Stars Open Learning Academy, a website for Nutrition and Allied Sciences Education. My main areas of expertise are Nutrition Counselling and Nutrition Education. I was instrumental in starting and developing the Dietary Services Department in Mool Chand KR Hospital in 1990. I was sent to the Republic of Maldives by the Govt. of India as an ITEC Expert in the year 1993 to work at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital with the advance team to establish various hospital departments. Worked as Consultant Dietician for a Research Project on “Cardio Arterial Disease Regression – through Life Style Changes” for 6 years conducted by Global Hospital and Research Centre, Mt Abu; DIPAS, New Delhi; and NIY, New Delhi. I also worked as the Sr Dietician & HOD F & B in Rockland Hospital for 7 years. In Rockland Hospital, I was part of the core team instrumental in getting accreditation (NABH and ISO 9001:2008) and also for the inspection visit of IFC. From May 2013 till November 2017, I worked as a Chief Dietician in B L Kapoor Memorial Hospital, which is a Multispecialty 500 bedded hospital. I founded my own company S S Guiding Stars Pvt Ltd in October 2017.
Selected among the “10 Most Promising Clinical Nutritionists and Dietitians-2019” in India. Authored many books and papers. Recent Book authored " Textbook of Food Science and Nutrition".
Organized and conducted workshops for Nutritionists and Dieticians in Delhi-NCR, on “Recent trends in Nutrigenomics”. in collaboration with Xceleris Labs, an Ahmedabad based leading genomics organization; Organized and conducted a number of online seminars and workshops on Health, Nutrition and Lifestyle related topics.
I am conducting regular classes and workshops on Nutrition through Guiding Stars Open Learning Academy. I was the coach for nutrition and dietetics to the officials of CRPF at Internal Security Academy, Mount Abu, for 6 years.
