Community Manager (Work from Home)

Job Description

We are looking for a high-energy, empathetic, and organized Community Manager to be the heartbeat of our digital ecosystem. You will be the primary link between the platform and our members (Founders and Investors), ensuring they find value, stay engaged, and build meaningful professional relationships within the StartupLanes network.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engagement & Sales

  • Active Presence: Act as the face of StartupLanes in our private groups (WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and our internal platform).

  • Facilitation: Initiate daily discussions, share industry news, and spark conversations among members. Call the members who haven't completed their profile and request them to complete the profile and sell the services offered by our Vendors.

  • Member Welcoming: Onboard new members, introducing them to the community rules and helping them make their first few connections.

2. Relationship Management

  • The "Connector": Identify the needs of Founders (e.g., looking for a co-founder or mentor) and Investors (e.g., looking for specific sectors) and manually facilitate introductions.

  • Conflict Resolution: Maintain a professional and positive environment by moderating discussions and resolving any member disputes according to community guidelines.

3. Content & Events

  • Webinar Hosting: Organize and host weekly remote "Meet the Founder" or "Investor Pitch" sessions via Zoom/Google Meet.

  • Value-Add Content: Curate and share success stories, funding alerts, and collaboration opportunities to keep the feed high-value.

4. Feedback & Growth

  • Member Insights: Collect feedback from users to help our product team improve the user dashboard and ecosystem features.

  • Growth: Encourage active members to refer other high-quality Changemakers to the platform.

Requirements & Skills

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. You must be able to write engaging posts and speak confidently during live sessions.

  • Background: Experience in community management, public relations, or the startup ecosystem is preferred.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Slack, WhatsApp Business, Zoom, and basic CRM tools.

  • Empathy: A genuine passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed. You must be a "people person" who enjoys networking.

  • Self-Starter: Since this is a Work From Home role, you must be disciplined, able to manage your time without constant supervision, and maintain high activity levels.
