As the content services industry seeks to grow into new categories such as audio and video content and new geographies like Southeast Asia, Pepper Content raised $4.2 million in Series A funding, led by Lightspeed India.
Pepper Content says it has on its site more than 30,000 content creators, graphic designers, language experts, and editors.
Over 400 clients, including Amazon, Swiggy, Paytm, Max Bupa, Apollo Hospitals and Adobe, work with it. “Anirudh Singla, cofounder and CEO of Pepper Content, said, “Our goal is to disrupt the entire content production industry at scale and create a bigger, high-quality, and more structured ecosystem for content creators. “Imagine that we can build virtual content teams globally for any business.”
Anirudh Singla, Rishabh Shekhar, established pepper content in 2017. Pepper Content is a platform for content-mediation that connects talented writers to content-needing organizations. By mediating content from the best talent pool of writers across the nation, Pepper offers customized content solutions.
Pepper Content said that creators have created over 100,000 pieces of content on its platform and received over $400,000 in fees over the last two years.
It has added more than 150 businesses and SMEs as customers in the last three months alone and is experiencing 25 percent growth in sales month-on-month, the company said.
