Allcargo Terminals Ltd has announced the appointment of Pranav Choudhary as its new Managing Director, effective September 1. He succeeds Suresh Kumar Ramiah, who retires at the end of August.

Allcargo Terminals Ltd (ATL), an Allcargo Group company and a container freight stations and inland container depots network operator, has announced a leadership transition.

Pranav Choudhary has been appointed as the Managing Director of the company, effective September 1. He takes over the role from outgoing Managing Director Suresh Kumar Ramiah, who is set to retire on August 31.

According to the company, Choudhary's appointment is intended to strengthen ATL's capabilities as it focuses on expanding its network and enhancing its value proposition for customers.

Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Allcargo Group, noted that Choudhary's background in ports and infrastructure will support the company's digital-first growth strategy, national footprint expansion, and value creation efforts.

Choudhary brings prior experience in leading infrastructure businesses and projects. His professional background spans business strategy, infrastructure development, capital allocation, project execution, corporate finance, policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and governance.

Outgoing Managing Director Suresh Kumar Ramiah reflected on the company's market position, stating that Allcargo Terminals has established a notable presence in India's Container Freight Stations and Inland Container Depots landscape, supported by an operational foundation and growth vision.

"Leadership transitions in established logistics and infrastructure companies are critical moments for aligning operational scale with modern strategic goals like digital transformation. When a company appoints a leader with deep infrastructure and capital allocation experience, it signals a clear focus on strengthening core operations while navigating market expansions. For the broader supply chain and logistics sector, stable execution and strategic continuity during executive changes remain essential for maintaining customer trust and stakeholder value." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
