Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has expanded its multi-asset platform to offer options on over 1,000 selected U.S. stocks and ETFs. The rollout is being facilitated through Nest Trading Limited, an Abu Dhabi Global Market-regulated broker-dealer affiliated with Binance.
Under the operational structure, Nest Trading Limited functions as the introducing broker, routing user orders to Alpaca Securities LLC—operating as Alpaca Clearing—a U.S.-registered self-clearing broker-dealer responsible for execution, clearing, settlement, and custody. Binance confirmed that these products are not available to users based in the United States, focusing instead on eligible international users.
The introduction of stock options follows Binance's earlier launch of a U.S. equities offering, which provides access to more than 7,000 stocks and ETFs through the partnership between Nest Trading Limited and Alpaca. These offerings work alongside equity-linked perpetual futures listed on Binance's Recognized Investment Exchange. Eligible users can now access crypto, traditional stocks, ETFs, tokenized securities (bStocks), equity-linked perpetuals, and stock options through a single account.
Data released by the company indicates strong demand for traditional financial products on the platform. Traditional financial perpetual futures volume reached approximately $433.4 billion in August 2026, marking a substantial increase from $29.5 billion recorded in January of the same year. Equity-linked perpetuals made up approximately 79% of this activity in August, totaling around $342.9 billion.
Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance, stated that the addition of stock options represents a step in the platform's multi-asset expansion. He noted that the feature provides users with tools to participate in equity markets, manage exposure, and utilize strategies historically accessed through traditional brokers from a single account.
Additional stock options listings are planned over time. Standard trading hours for most U.S. stock options run from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time, with certain ETF and ETN options subject to late-close exceptions extending trading until 4:15 PM Eastern Time. Binance maintains onboarding, compliance controls, and risk disclosures aligned with its ADGM-regulated operations.
The company noted that stock options carry significant market and liquidity risks. Contracts give buyers the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell underlying securities at a specified price by an expiration date in exchange for a premium. Positions require active monitoring by users, and unexercised options are subject to auto-liquidation before the close of trading on the expiration date.
"The integration of traditional financial products like U.S. stock options onto digital asset platforms highlights a clear convergence between crypto infrastructure and conventional markets. As platforms expand their multi-asset offerings to meet growing international demand, regulatory compliance and robust risk disclosure become critical. This development demonstrates how digital platforms are evolving to capture traditional trading volumes, though users must carefully navigate the distinct mechanics and risks associated with derivative products." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
