India's primary capital market is bracing for an action-packed week with six prominent companies slated to launch Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) collectively valued at nearly ₹5,600 crore. Backed by institutional heavyweights like Blackstone and Gaja Capital, the upcoming public issues span diverse sectors including industrial parks, retail jewellery, entertainment production, alternative asset management, and precision instruments.

The Indian primary market is gearing up for one of its busiest weeks of the year, with an impressive lineup of six companies preparing to hit the public bourses to raise nearly ₹5,600 crore through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). This aggressive wave of capital raising follows a hectic period that witnessed the launch of five IPOs last week and three others earlier in the month, pushing the aggregate number of public issues slated for 2026 to an impressive 54 companies so far.

The upcoming IPO onslaught begins on August 17 with the launch of the massive ₹2,600-crore public issue by Blackstone-backed Horizon Industrial Parks. Operating entirely as a fresh issue with a price band set at ₹57 to ₹60 per share, the company intends to channel the net proceeds primarily toward aggressive debt reduction and the repayment of outstanding borrowings, strengthening its balance sheet for future growth.

Sharing the spotlight on August 17 is regional retail heavyweight Lalithaa Jewellery Mart, which is coming out with a ₹1,700-crore offering. The issue features a price band of ₹190 to ₹201 per share, structured as a combination of a fresh issue of up to ₹1,200 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to ₹500 crore, aimed at scaling its retail footprint across domestic markets.

The momentum continues unabated mid-week on August 18 as Shankesh Jewellers and prominent film and television production house Sunshine Pictures open their respective public offerings. Shankesh Jewellers aims to raise ₹367 crore through a price band of ₹88 to ₹93 per share, comprising a fresh issue of 2.95 crore equity shares and a 1 crore share OFS. Meanwhile, Sunshine Pictures has set its price band at ₹342 to ₹360 per share for a ₹282-crore offering, which includes a fresh issue of 48 lakh equity shares and an OFS of 30.37 lakh equity shares by promoters Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Shefali Vipul Shah.

Diversifying the sector mix, Gaja Alternative Asset Management—operating under the well-known Gaja Capital brand—is scheduled to launch its ₹550-crore IPO on August 19. The alternative asset manager has established a price band of ₹152 to ₹160 per share, split into a fresh issue of up to ₹450 crore and a ₹100-crore OFS. It will be followed on August 20 by Tempsens Instruments (India), which is offering a fresh issue valued at ₹95 crore alongside an OFS of 1.85 crore shares, focusing on capital expenditure and operational expansion.

Beyond this packed block of six issues, the primary market pipeline remains exceptionally robust. Logistics and air freight forwarding specialist Skyways Air Services is already lined up to launch its ₹583-crore IPO on August 24. Across all these companies, the deployment of fresh capital is strategically directed toward business expansion, technological upgrades, debt restructuring, and meeting general corporate objectives.

Market analysts note that this heavy influx of public issues underscores sustained retail and institutional investor appetite in India's macroeconomic story, despite global headwinds. As institutional private equity investors look to unlock value through structured exits via Offer for Sale mechanisms, retail investors are presented with a wide array of choices spanning manufacturing, logistics, consumer discretionary, and alternative finance sectors.

"The upcoming wave of IPOs underscores the incredible maturity and depth of India's capital markets. Raising ₹5,600 crore across six diverse companies in a single week is a testament to robust domestic liquidity and sustained investor confidence in the Indian entrepreneurial ecosystem. Backed by institutional giants like Blackstone and Gaja Capital, these public listings reflect a healthy shift where businesses are aggressively capitalizing on public equity for strategic expansion, debt optimization, and long-term value creation. At StartupLanes, we view this vibrant primary market activity as a vital catalyst for the broader Indian economy, providing a clear exit horizon for early backers while empowering mid-to-large-scale enterprises to scale new heights." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
