Paradeep Phosphates launches customised sugarcane fertiliser in Karnataka

BENGALURU — Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) announced the launch of Jai Kisaan Navratna Cropfit, a scientifically formulated customised fertiliser targeted at sugarcane cultivation in the state of Karnataka.

According to the company, the new product rollout reinforces its focus on crop-specific and balanced plant nutrition. The formulation is intended to address the specific nutritional requirements of sugarcane, which is classified as a long-duration crop with high and sustained nutrient demands.

PPL stated that conventional fertiliser practices often involve the excessive application of nitrogen alongside inadequate supplementation of secondary and micronutrients. Such imbalances can negatively impact nutrient use efficiency, overall crop performance, and long-term soil health.

Jai Kisaan Navratna Cropfit has been developed to counter these issues by offering a balanced combination of primary, secondary, and micronutrients tailored specifically for the critical early growth stages of sugarcane. The precision-blended product is engineered to deliver a complete nutrient package in a single application, supporting uniform crop establishment and efficient nutrient availability.

Field evaluations conducted for the product suggest that balanced crop nutrition can enhance crop vigour, nutrient use efficiency, and overall performance. Under suitable agronomic conditions, the adoption of these practices is intended to contribute to higher cane yields, improved sugar recovery rates, and better economic returns for farmers.
