Safe Enterprises Retail Fixtures Limited has secured its first commercial orders for EVOLV, a modular home-living solutions platform. This move marks the company's expansion from organized retail infrastructure into the global home furnishings market.

Mumbai-based Safe Enterprises Retail Fixtures Limited (SERFL), a provider of retail fixtures and shopfitting solutions, announced that it has secured its first commercial orders for EVOLV, its modular home-living solutions platform. The development marks a strategic expansion for the company beyond organized retail infrastructure into the broader home furnishings and home-living segment.

The global home furnishings market is experiencing sustained growth, underpinned by rising disposable incomes, urbanization, and a growing preference for organized and branded furniture solutions. According to data cited from Mordor Intelligence, the global home furnishings market was valued at approximately USD 802.5 billion and is projected to reach USD 1,140.1 billion by 2030, registering a compound annual growth rate of 6.1% between 2024 and 2030. Within this landscape, the global wardrobe market is expected to grow from USD 25.2 billion in 2024 to USD 36.7 billion by 2030, while the TV unit market is projected to expand from USD 12.4 billion to USD 17.5 billion over the same timeframe.

EVOLV applies SERFL's retail-grade engineering, design, and manufacturing expertise directly to the home environment. Designed as a modular system, the platform can be configured for wardrobes, media units, TV units, and other storage applications to maintain design continuity across spaces. The company plans to leverage its existing manufacturing capabilities, supply-chain execution, and large-scale project delivery experience to scale the new platform.

The rollout of EVOLV aligns with SERFL's upcoming manufacturing capacity expansion. The company's Ambernath facility is scheduled for completion in December 2026, which will increase its total plant area to approximately 530,000 square feet. This additional manufacturing capacity is intended to support the scaling of EVOLV alongside its existing retail infrastructure and WAVE businesses, providing the operational bandwidth necessary to handle larger order volumes.

CA Mikdad Merchant, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of SERFL, noted that the entry into home furnishings provides an opportunity to diversify the company's revenue base while utilizing upcoming manufacturing and operational capabilities. He added that the initial commercial orders serve as an encouraging early indicator as the company evaluates the vertical's growth potential.

Established in 1976, SERFL has built its core business on supplying end-to-end retail infrastructure solutions, including retail fixtures, display systems, and turnkey store execution, to organized retailers across sectors such as fashion, electronics, and lifestyle. The company has also previously ventured into retail automation through WAVE, an RFID-powered self-checkout platform.

"Diversification into adjacent markets is a sensible strategy for established manufacturing and retail infrastructure companies. By leveraging existing engineering capabilities and aligning product rollouts with upcoming facility expansions, Safe Enterprises is methodically managing its capital and operational bandwidth. Entering the large home furnishings market provides a clear avenue for revenue diversification, provided they maintain operational efficiency as manufacturing capacity scales toward 2026." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
