MANIPAL — The fourth edition of the UK-India HealthTech Accelerator has concluded with the announcement of its winning enterprises. Hosted recently at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) campus in Manipal, the programme recognized six Indian health-tech startups for their innovations.
The winning companies selected from the cohort are Azooka Labs Pvt Ltd (Bengaluru), Bioscan Research Pvt Ltd (Ahmedabad), Turtle Shell Technologies Pvt Ltd, also known as Dozee (Bengaluru), EZERX Health Tech Pvt Ltd (Bhubaneswar), OrthoHeal Pvt Ltd (Vadodara), and TatvaCare (Ahmedabad).
According to an official media statement, the accelerator was organized by MAHE in collaboration with the British High Commission, Healthcare UK, the UK Department for Business and Trade, and the Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC).
The initiative brought together Indian health-tech innovators and UK experts. Its stated objectives include promoting bilateral collaboration, strengthening market access, and accelerating the adoption of innovative healthcare solutions across both regions.
Organizers noted that the initiative aligns with the implementation of the upcoming UK-India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. The trade agreement is anticipated to generate new avenues for businesses, innovation, and cross-border partnerships between the two nations.
Sharath K Rao, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, spoke at the programme to honor the achievements of the participating companies. Commenting on the initiative, Rao said that the accelerator demonstrates the value of bringing together innovators, healthcare experts, industry stakeholders, and government bodies to address complex healthcare challenges. He added that MAHE is pleased to support the platform in creating pathways for Indian health-tech innovations to engage with global healthcare ecosystems.
The UK-India HealthTech Accelerator is structured to serve as a platform for Indian health-tech enterprises. It aims to help domestic companies engage with the UK healthcare ecosystem, understand emerging market opportunities, and build strategic partnerships necessary to scale their solutions internationally.
