Rephrase.ai, an AI communication firm, receives $10.6 million in investment from Red Ventures.

Red Ventures led a $10.6 million Series A fundraising round for Bengaluru-based AI startup Rephrase.ai, which works in the synthetic media sector. In addition, the investment round included participation from Silver Lake, Global Technology Venture Capital, 8VC, and other angel investors.

According to Rephrase.ai, the funds will be used to integrate product experiences, including the hiring of team members for the departments of AI, Product, Sales, and Marketing. Additionally, the business will be establishing a base in North America.

Three IIT graduates, Ashray Malhotra, Nisheeth Lahoti, and Shivam Mangala, started the company in 2019. Rephrase.ai focuses on video production by giving businesses of all sizes access to video skills. Additionally, the business is developing digital avatars with a human touch using deep learning, which can then be utilised for synthetic video content.

“Four years ago, we founded Rephrase.ai with the intention of developing an engine that could make producing high-quality movies as simple as writing text. We have created millions of movies over the past year while producing hundreds of digital human clones, according to Ashray Malhotra, co-founder and CEO of Rephrase.ai.

“With the present mass customization of video content, our main bet is on the reinvention of the video production process, and that, as a business process technology, has great promise,” Red Ventures President Carlos Angrisano continued. Rephrase.ai’s leadership and talent pool impress us; they represent a significant competitive advantage in this young industry.
