From developing consumer apps to developing robust B2B commercial software products employing cutting-edge technology, Indian technologists have consistently provided additional comfort to users. While India has the world’s largest reservoir of technical talent, their work can now be seen all over the world, with nearly all of the major US technology corporations employing technology pioneers of Indian heritage. A chief technology officer (CTO) is the highest technology executive position within a company and leads the technology or engineering department. They develop policies and procedures and use technology to enhance products and services that focus on external customers.

Prior to Tata Sons, he had a long stint of 19 years in varying roles and responsibilities at W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc., based in Delaware, USA. He was involved in developing fuel cell membranes, water purification technologies and business development activities primarily with automotive OEMs. Mahesh has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a MBA from University of Delaware.
