Biotech Engineer by degree , real world problem analyser (& hence solver) at core. Transitioned from being a distinction holder & All -rounder awardee for over 4 yrs of Biotech engineering (AKA Baljit Shahstri Award) to a seasoned Product person (via an obvious struggling phase).
Built - Gallons’ - my first startup project -focussed on biodiesel production & blending it with actual petrodiesel.
Over the last 6 yrs, have spent nearly 95% of the time as part of B2B teams - ranging from being a junior Product Analyst (leading a team of 20+ engineers) in an HR-Tech domain (Keka HR) to the most recent gig as the main product hire to the Indian- open source alternative of Jira, i.e.. Plane.so handling a team of nearly 40+ engineers working directly with the CEO - ensuring the the platform stands at par to that of Jira (a mammoth player in the domain ) within 10 months - shipping closely with design & development & most importantly, customers. With over 400+ user interviews, 270+ feature shipments (*with nearly 37 of them failing miserably* ) & hours of relentless first principles thinking - on 'why' of products & businesses - the journey is just getting started .
