About

I think in decades, not quarters. It’s probably my most useful trait and my most annoying one.

I grew up around a family business, so I learned early that the things that actually matter…trust, instinct, judgment, the reason behind a decision…rarely get written down. That shaped how I look at almost everything. I’m less interested in what something is and more in whether it will last.

I like problems that are hiding in plain sight. The ones everyone has quietly accepted as “just how it works” until you look again and realize nobody actually solved them. That’s usually where I want to be.

These days I spend my time building, testing ideas, getting plenty of them wrong, and thinking out loud here as I go. I care about continuity…in companies, in families, in the things worth outlasting us…and I’m drawn to people who play long games.

If that’s you, let’s talk. I’m always up for a conversation that changes my mind. Most companies preserve their data and lose their wisdom. I work on the second problem.
