Udayy raised $ 2.5 million in seed funding.

In a seed financing round led by Alpha Wave Incubation (AWI), operated by Falcon Edge Capital and InfoEdge Projects, Udayy, a live-learning platform for grades 1 to 5 students, has raised $2.5 million.

There was participation from VC Better Money, Cred founder Kunal Shah and other angel investors in the funding round.

Udayy was Established by IIT Delhi, alumni of Stanford University Saumya Yadav, Mahak Garg, and alumni of IIT Delhi and Stanford University Karan Varshney, the company had its first round of angel funding in June 2019.

Udayy will use the funding to fuel its next growth phase, which will include the development of teaching methods, expansion of product suite, and recruiting across product, curriculum, and engineering teams.

In an immersive, small classroom of 3-5 students, the edtech startup teaches maths and English to children in the age group of 6-11 years. They have also launched a free app providing kids with everyday worksheets.
