Vinod K Bapna is a senior level executive currently working as COO & CFO with Caparo Maruti Ltd ( JV of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Caparo Group ) with extensive hands-on experience in financial management and business analysis, management assurance, treasury, structured financing and taxation, business leadership and working with Senior Management and Promoters.

CA , CS , ICWA and MBA with 27 year experience an established record of success in significantly growing enterprise value.

Proven ability to work independently as well as perform as team member. Exercise a high degree of discretion, mature judgment, and tact in handling issues of a sensitive nature.

Posses sound business acumen, effective leadership qualities and experience resulting in better financial performance and enhanced systems for higher performance of the team. and ability to handle Profit and Loss responsibility.

What inspired you to join the current company or this sector?

I started my career with Automotive Component Sector and till now working in same sector for last 27 years.  Automotive is my passion and I enjoyed the working in this sector and its very vibrant sector and having very big contribution in over all economy of the country.

What is your life mantra?

Work Life Balance with fully focus on target with team building.  Decentralization of power with full confidence and faith in team.

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

I spend almost 8 years in Joint Venture Company (JV) where two and more partners.  To make balance with partners and win the confidence of all JV partners as CFO is one of biggest challenge for me every time.

How do you protect yourself from the problem of brain drain?

With full confidence in our self, faith and confidence with Team and giving full support and cooperation to team helps me from brain drain.

Share one habit that you think makes you more productive?

Keep Calm in Stress, pleasant personality and having team building makes me more productive.

Share one habit that you wish to change in yourself?

I am having blind faith on others.  I think I should change it.

Start of week with new targets with quick decision making to resolve the new challenges.

According to you how self worth and happiness important in a job?

Very much.  Without self worth and happiness you are nothing. You are just animal.

Describe some difficult leadership situations and how you managed people through them.

Once there was strike situation in the company.  My CEO was out of station.  Due to strike the production may stopped and line of customer may also stopped.  Immediately I taken the lead and start discussion with union leaders and satisfy them and solve their issues on war front and arranged to start the production.
