This significant funding round was led by Arkam Ventures, an early-stage venture fund dedicated to supporting “Middle-India” startups. This marks Arkam’s third investment in the agri-tech sector.
BharatAgri, founded by Siddharth Dialani and Sai Gole, alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, offers personalized farming advice to help farmers optimize their agricultural practices. The platform boasts a predictive algorithm that tailors advice to specific crop types, regional conditions, and climate changes.
The company’s e-commerce platform provides access to over 10,000 agricultural products, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and more, reaching farmers across 20,000+ pin codes nationwide.
The funds raised will be used to expand the e-commerce platform’s presence in new regions and strengthen its last-mile delivery capabilities. Rahul Chandra, Managing Director of Arkam Ventures, will join BharatAgri’s board.
The platform’s integration of advisory services and e-commerce has resulted in tangible benefits for farmers, including a 30% increase in production, 10% cost reduction, and a 100% boost in earnings. With over 10 lakh unique monthly users and access to 20,000+ serviceable pin codes, BharatAgri aims to become India’s leading e-commerce platform for farmers, bridging the digital divide in agriculture and contributing to the sector’s modernization.
