Blubirch, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and AI-based automation-driven platform, has successfully raised $6.37 million in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Cornerstone Ventures and Capital2B and will be instrumental in scaling the company’s returns automation and monetization platform.
Blubirch’s platform offers solutions to retailers, e-commerce players, brands, marketplaces, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with the aim of improving revenue, increasing profits, and enhancing the overall customer experience. The platform operates within the realm of reverse supply chain management and helps stakeholders identify invalid returns at the source, manage automated processing of returns at scale, and handle warranty claims, among other services.
Founded in 2014 by three seasoned information technology professionals – Sapan Jain, Jeby Cherian, and Amit Goel – Blubirch has already raised a total of $10.2 million. Sapan Jain, one of the co-founders, previously held a key position at IBM Global Financing for India and Asia Pacific. Cherian, another co-founder, was the former managing partner of IBM Consulting India and South Asia, and Goel, the third co-founder, had previously worked as the director of Technosoft Corporation.
This funding round is expected to fuel Blubirch’s growth, expand its market presence across various retailer marketplaces and OEM ecosystems, and accelerate its global footprint, with a focus on regions like the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The funds will be dedicated to product development, talent acquisition in India, regional operational expansion, and broader market penetration, according to Sapan Jain.
