UrbanMatrix, established in 2019 by the visionary quartet of Rishabh Verma, Ashutosh Kumar, Divyanshu Pundir, and Ajay Karthik, is at the forefront of industrial drones and drone software. These versatile tools are employed across a spectrum of industries, from surveying and surveillance to agriculture, AI-assisted inspection, and defense applications.
UrbanMatrix’s base of operations encompasses a spacious 3,000 square feet commercial area, with a specialized manufacturing section. Their offerings include state-of-the-art quantum encryption technology and seamless cloud integration to ensure data security and user-friendly experiences. With collaborative partnerships involving prestigious entities such as ISRO, Paras Aerospace, and ATV, and certification from DGCA, they’ve received recognition for their cutting-edge 4G/5G-enabled drone, the UMT Hawk4G, and patented innovations like NextCC, alongside unique drone designs.
This promising accomplishment by UrbanMatrix follows hot on the heels of another drone startup, Garuda Aerospace, which recently secured $3 million in funding. As the dronetech sector continues to flourish, a total of 10 drone-related startups have collectively raised a remarkable $64 million by September, featuring notable names such as ideaForge, insideFPV, Indrones, and PDRL, highlighting the industry’s growth and innovation.
