Baird Capital, a Chicago, IL-based investment firm focused on B2B technology & services companies, closed its sixth U.S. Venture Capital fund with a total of $218M.
The fund is anchored by Baird and joined by returning and new institutions, foundations, family offices and industry executives.
Led by investment partners Joanna Arras, Mark Donnelly, Jim Pavlik and Benedict Rocchio, Baird Capital’s venture capital platform invests in mid-stage venture companies in the B2B technology and services markets. Committing $10M to $20M in equity over the life of an investment, the team looks to partner with companies with management teams, capital-efficient business models, and differentiated products or services that address large market opportunities.
Fund VI has already invested $34.5M in three companies:
- Osano (Austin, TX-based) – A company which specializes in data privacy management software.
- Parallax (Edina, MN-based) – A provider of predictive forecasting and capacity planning software for digital services organizations.
- Zylo (Indianapolis, IN-based) – A company which soecializes in SaaS management.
Founded in 1989, the group focuses on investing in sub-sectors where it has deep institutional knowledge and leveraging global operating capabilities to support the operational and growth needs of partner companies. Baird Capital is the direct private investment arm of Robert W. Baird & Co.
