Device intelligence platform Fingerprint has successfully secured $33 million in a Series C funding round, with continued support from existing investor Nexus Venture Partners. This latest funding round also attracted participation from Uncorrelated Ventures, an early-stage investor based in California.

Fingerprint, headquartered in Chicago, will direct the proceeds from this funding towards expanding its adoption among larger enterprise customers and strengthening its technology infrastructure and product capabilities. Notably, this comes after a $32 million Series B funding round in 2021, led by Craft Ventures and featuring participation from both Nexus Venture Partners and Uncorrelated Ventures. In total, the company has now raised a cumulative $77 million.

Established in 2019, Fingerprint operates as a device intelligence platform, employing the analysis of nearly 100 signals derived from browsers, devices, and networks to generate a stable and persistent unique identifier for each visitor. This enables a profound understanding of visitor behavior, offering essential support to developers in creating device identification with adaptable APIs, capable of detecting fraudulent activity while ensuring minimal disruption for legitimate users.

The company serves approximately 6,000 clients worldwide and maintains a notable presence in India, where it counts firms such as Tata Digital, Zee5, Junglee, and Park+ among its clients.

Nexus Venture Partners’ Managing Director, Abhishek Sharma, commended Fingerprint for its ability to help high-scale websites and applications combat fraudulent transactions. He acknowledged the company’s remarkable commercial growth, with a product-market fit that caters to a broad spectrum of businesses.

Device Intelligence Platform Fingerprint just secured a whopping $33 million in Series C funding! They’re making big moves in the industry. Congrats to the Fingerprint team!
