Welspun Corp Ltd has secured the largest single order in its history, valued at approximately $1.8 billion (₹17,200 crore). The order is for the supply of pipes from its manufacturing facility in the United States and will be executed between FY 2028 and FY 2029.

In M&A news, Rane (Madras) Ltd (RML) announced the successful completion of the acquisition of the friction business of Hindustan Composites Ltd (HCL). Following the signing of the business transfer agreement on June 30, all customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions have been fulfilled.

Precision engineering manufacturer Millworks Technologies Ltd received confirmed orders aggregating to approximately ₹53.74 crore, bringing its total confirmed order book to ₹121.88 crore for FY27. Meanwhile, Walchandnagar Industries secured a domestic order worth ₹30.53 crore plus GST from the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) to fabricate and supply segments of the HS200 motorcase for the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme over a four-year period.

In the energy and infrastructure space, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd received a work order worth ₹164.79 crore from Western Coalfields Ltd to establish an MPLS VPN network on a rental basis for 60 months. Saatvik Solar Industries, a material subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy, accepted a ₹190 crore commercial order for solar PV modules, to be executed by March 2027. Additionally, Leapfrog Engineering Services Ltd secured a purchase order from Trane Technologies, US Inc., valued at $336,738.90 (approximately ₹3.17 crore) for PLC panels.

Expansion updates saw Sanathan Textiles commence commercial production from its expanded technical textiles yarn facility in Silvassa, doubling its technical textiles capacity to 18,000 MTPA. TPL Plastech started operations for manufacturing intermediate bulk containers at Bhuj, Gujarat, targeting an additional revenue of approximately ₹100 crore. Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd commissioned a dedicated copper wire drawing and copper cable manufacturing line in Vadodara, and Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd began commercial production of technical ammonium nitrate at its Gadepan facility in Rajasthan.

In healthcare and hospitality developments, Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company received an order from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India concerning non-compliance with management expense limits for FY 2024-25, directing the company not to open new places of business for six months. Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences entered an operations and management agreement to exclusively run and manage Arete Hospitals in Hyderabad. Lemon Tree Hotels expanded its Gujarat footprint by opening a property in Bharuch, bringing its state portfolio to 12 properties. Additionally, Brigade Group signed a lease agreement with HealthEdge for approximately 1.62 lakh sq ft at Brigade Square in Thiruvananthapuram.
