Ahmedabad-based Globe Enterprises (India) Limited has posted a 32.7 percent year-on-year increase in revenue to INR 166.68 crore for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Despite top-line growth, profitability faced headwinds due to rising raw material, logistics, and shipping expenses.

AHMEDABAD — Globe Enterprises (India) Limited, formerly known as Globe Textiles (India) Limited, has released its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, reporting strong revenue growth alongside ongoing business expansion.

The Ahmedabad-headquartered company recorded a revenue of INR 166.68 crore in Q1 FY27, marking a 32.7 percent year-on-year increase compared to INR 125.56 crore in Q1 FY26. Total revenue for the quarter stood at INR 167.35 crore. The company reported an EBITDA of INR 8.54 crore and a profit before tax (PBT) of INR 3.52 crore.

According to the company, the top-line growth was supported by enhanced garment manufacturing capacity commissioned during the previous year, which allowed the firm to handle higher volumes across both domestic and export markets. However, profitability remained under pressure during the quarter due to a 15 to 20 percent increase in raw material costs, alongside higher logistics and shipping expenses.

Despite these near-term cost pressures, Globe Enterprises enters the second quarter of FY27 with an order book exceeding INR 100 crore, providing revenue visibility for the upcoming period.

This performance follows a strong fiscal year 2026, during which the company reported a 55 percent increase in revenue to reach INR 598.84 crore. FY26 EBITDA stood at INR 31.74 crore, with a PBT of INR 12.79 crore.

During the previous fiscal year, the company formally changed its name from Globe Textiles (India) Limited to Globe Enterprises (India) Limited. Management noted that the name change reflects a broader corporate vision to expand beyond traditional textiles into fashion, apparel, technical textiles, chemicals, and allied business segments. The acquisition of Globe Denwash has also contributed to strengthening the company's value-added capabilities.

Globe Enterprises operates as a fully integrated textile and manufacturing company with a presence spanning the textile value chain. Its product portfolio includes denim, non-denim apparels, garments, voiles, fabrics, and value-added products.

"Globe Enterprises demonstrates how expanding manufacturing capacity can successfully drive top-line revenue growth in competitive markets. However, their Q1 FY27 results highlight a critical lesson for manufacturing and traditional businesses: top-line expansion must be carefully balanced against input cost volatility, such as rising raw material and logistics expenses. Maintaining an order book above INR 100 crore provides healthy revenue visibility for Q2, but sustained long-term profitability will depend heavily on effective cost management and the successful scaling of their diversified business segments." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
