Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced its highest-ever total monthly sales figures for October, registering 82,299 units inclusive of exports. This performance marks a 17.7 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
According to the automaker, the growth was primarily driven by record domestic sales, which reached 62,799 units—representing a 16.7 per cent year-on-year rise. Simultaneously, the company's export operations grew by 21.1 per cent, totaling 19,500 units for the month.
Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HMIL, attributed the milestone to robust market conditions. Strong festive demand, along with consistent momentum across both domestic and international segments, contributed to the record sales performance.
Looking ahead, the automaker expects its newly launched Hyundai BAYON, classified as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle, to support further growth. The vehicle is slated for distribution in India and across more than 50 export markets. The company noted that these developments reinforce India's position as a strategic manufacturing and export hub for its global operations.
"Hyundai Motor India's latest sales figures highlight the direct impact of seasonal festive demand on large-scale consumer markets. Achieving record-breaking domestic sales alongside double-digit export growth demonstrates strong supply chain execution and sustained consumer confidence. Furthermore, leveraging India as a strategic manufacturing and export hub allows established automotive players to scale effectively while serving diverse international markets." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
