IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Appoints Tatsuya Fujimoto as MD and CEO

NEW DELHI — IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Tatsuya Fujimoto as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Fujimoto takes over the leadership role from Subrata Mondal, according to a statement released by the company on Wednesday.

Prior to his appointment as MD and CEO, Fujimoto served as the Director (Operations) at the general insurance firm. His tenure with the company also includes a role as Senior Executive Director and Chief Risk Officer, a position he held from November 2024 to June 2025. Over his career, he has accumulated experience across multiple operational, risk, and corporate functions within the organization.

Fujimoto brings 28 years of experience working with the Tokio Marine Group. His professional background includes 18 years in Japan, where he worked in marketing, corporate planning, and served as the Executive Secretary to the Group CEO. Additionally, he has spent 10 years working abroad across various international markets, including the United States, Malaysia, and India.

IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company Ltd operates as a 51:49 joint venture. The partnership is held between the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative (IFFCO) and Japan's Tokio Marine Group, combining Indian agricultural and cooperative reach with international insurance expertise.
