BENGALURU — Indian athleisure brand Cava has officially launched its latest capsule, 'Soft Serve', developed in collaboration with actor Khushi Kapoor. The collection hit the market on September 1, 2026, and is now available through Cava's retail channels.
According to the company, the partnership went beyond a standard celebrity endorsement. Kapoor was involved throughout the product development lifecycle, participating in design discussions, sampling sessions, and fittings to shape the color palette, silhouettes, and overall aesthetic of the line.
The collection centers around the brand's 'Adaptive Athleisure' philosophy, blending everyday wearability with performance functionality. Co-founder Ria Mittal noted that Kapoor brought a distinct perspective to how the garments should fit and move, while co-founder Shreya Mittal highlighted that the collaboration bridges Cava's visual identity with its technical focus on fabrics and movement.
Founded in 2020 by sisters Ria Mittal and Shreya Mittal, Cava positions itself within India's growing athleisure segment, focusing on versatile activewear designed for transitional daily use. The brand targets consumers seeking a balance between lifestyle aesthetics and technical performance.
The 'Soft Serve' collection is now accessible to consumers via Cava's platform, marking another step in the brand's retail and product expansion strategy within the domestic market.
"Collaborations between consumer brands and public figures require a deep alignment of brand ethos rather than a superficial endorsement. In this case, Cava has integrated the celebrity partner into the actual product development process, from sampling to design refinement. For emerging direct-to-consumer brands in India's competitive athleisure market, strategic partnerships like this can effectively amplify visibility while reinforcing core product attributes such as versatility and performance." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
