BENGALURU, India — Futura MedTech has appointed Abhishek Bhargava as its Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The leadership transition marks a new phase of growth and transformation for the company as it seeks to strengthen its position in the Indian medical technology sector.
Abhishek Bhargava brings nearly twenty years of experience across global healthcare and MedTech companies, having built and scaled complex, multi-therapy businesses throughout his career. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Transformation and Growth Business and was a member of the leadership team at Medtronic India. During his nine-year tenure at Medtronic, he managed multiple operating units and portfolios, including surgical innovations covering sutures, stapling, energy, hernia, and visualization.
His extensive operational experience at Medtronic also spans coronary and renal denervation, structural heart, acute care and monitoring, endoscopy, surgical robotics, cardiac rhythm management, and cardiac ablation solutions. Prior to his time at Medtronic, Bhargava held progressive leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, working across the Cordis and Biosense Webster franchises where he contributed to the growth of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.
In addition to his corporate tenure, Bhargava brings entrepreneurial experience to his new role. Earlier in his career, he co-founded SmartMedicalBuyer.com, which was one of the early digital platforms in India focused on medical supply procurement.
Bhargava is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur and Hindu College, University of Delhi, combining academic credentials in business with hands-on technical and market experience across diverse healthcare sectors.
