Omron India Automation has announced plans to double its revenue by FY30 compared to FY25 levels, driven by growth in sectors such as electronics, semiconductors, and batteries. The company recently reported sales of ₹649.2 crore for FY26.

NEW DELHI — Omron India Automation has set a target to double its revenue by fiscal year 2030 from its FY25 baseline, according to company disclosures. The industrial automation firm recorded sales of ₹513.3 crore in FY25, which subsequently increased to ₹649.2 crore in FY26. The company stated that its sales have grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 20 percent over the past three years.

Junta Tsujinaga, President and CEO of Omron Corporation, noted that India is transitioning from 'Make in India' to 'Innovate in India'. According to Tsujinaga, this shift creates opportunities for the company to deliver technologies aimed at making factories safer and smarter, improving healthcare infrastructure, and supporting sustainability goals.

‘Our ambition is very clear: to be India’s long-term partner in creating a better society for India and for the world,’ Tsujinaga said.

The company has identified key growth opportunities within India's semiconductor, battery, and electronic components sectors. Tsujinaga indicated that these industries are projected to experience significant expansion, growing approximately threefold, tenfold, and more than fivefold, respectively. Omron plans to apply its expertise in precision manufacturing and inspection technologies to serve these high-demand markets.

Omron established its industrial automation business in India in 1996 and later expanded into the healthcare market in 2010. The company inaugurated a co-creation centre in Mumbai in 2014 and currently maintains six regional offices across key manufacturing hubs, including Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Its operational footprint includes a network of over 100 sales partners and more than 100 application engineers across the country.

Sameer Gandhi, Managing Director of Omron Automation India, stated that the organization now treats India as a distinct standalone region rather than grouping it within the broader Asia-Pacific market. He noted that this structural change underscores the strategic importance of the Indian market to Omron's overall future growth.

Omron’s industrial automation division currently provides technology solutions to a wide range of sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), healthcare and pharmaceuticals, automotive, infrastructure, and digital industries.

"Omron India Automation's focus on structural growth and its decision to treat India as a dedicated standalone region highlights the increasing maturity of the country's industrial sector. By targeting high-growth areas like semiconductors, batteries, and electronic components, the company is aligning itself well with the shifting manufacturing demands of the market. Setting a clear timeline to double revenue by FY30 reflects steady, realistic business planning rather than short-term speculation, which is essential for sustained success in advanced technology and manufacturing infrastructure." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
