New Delhi — A large cohort of Indian listed companies released their financial performance reports for the second quarter ending October 2026. The list of reporting entities includes major financial institutions such as Kotak Mahindra Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, IDFC First Bank, and SBFC Finance, alongside industrial and manufacturing firms including JK Cement, Netweb Technologies India, Castrol India, Kajaria Ceramics, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
According to the official financial releases, BPCL posted a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,57,818 crore for the second quarter of FY27, marking a 29.78 per cent increase compared to ₹1,21,605 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Despite the top-line growth, BPCL's profitability metrics experienced a downturn during the quarter. The company's consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) declined by 13.37 per cent year-on-year to ₹9,647 crore, down from ₹11,136 crore in Q2 FY26. Furthermore, BPCL's net profit for the quarter fell by 21.45 per cent to ₹4,863 crore, compared to ₹6,191 crore in the year-ago period.
In addition to the energy sector, several mid-sized and smaller enterprises also disclosed their quarterly figures. One reporting firm noted a net profit of ₹4.54 crore for the quarter, accompanied by a 51.9 per cent increase in revenue from operations, which rose to ₹87.41 crore from ₹57.56 crore recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Other companies listed for the Q2 updates include 3P Land Holdings, Apollo Micro Systems, Chembond Chemicals, Chemcon Speciality Chemicals, Dachepalli Publishers, Damodar Industries, Evexia Lifecare, Gujarat Ambuja Exports, German Green Steel and Power, High Energy Batteries India, JTL Defence, Lumax Auto Technologies, Modis Navnirman, North Eastern Carrying Corporation, Oswal Yarns, Permanent Magnets, Quanto Agroworld, Rajoo Engineers, Saptak Chem And Business, Seshasayee Paper and Boards, Shangar Decor, SJ Corporation, SKP Securities, Sovereign Diamonds, and S V Global Mill.
"The latest Q2 earnings reports highlight a complex macroeconomic environment where top-line growth does not always translate directly to bottom-line expansion, as seen in BPCL's results. For businesses, banks, and growing enterprises alike, managing operational margins remains just as critical as driving revenue. Investors will continue to closely monitor banking and industrial performance indicators to gauge sector-wide demand and cost pressures moving forward." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
