MUMBAI: The Navi Mumbai airport is expanding its domestic flight network by adding nine new destinations in the upcoming winter schedule, according to official updates. The move is designed to enhance connectivity for travelers in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and surrounding areas.
The newly added destinations include Agatti (via Mopa in Goa), Darbhanga, Guwahati, Jalgaon, Jodhpur, Ranchi, Bagdogra, Sindhudurg, and Udaipur. These routes bring multiple regional markets into the airport's operational footprint.
An airport spokesperson commented on the development, stating that the expanding domestic network and growing passenger and cargo operations reinforce the commitment to providing efficient connectivity for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and beyond.
The spokesperson further added that these new routes will improve access to important regional markets while supporting tourism, trade, and economic growth.
"The expansion of regional connectivity at major transit hubs is a critical step for commercial growth. By linking the Mumbai Metropolitan Region directly to diverse domestic markets like Guwahati, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, the Navi Mumbai airport is facilitating better mobility for trade and tourism. Improved infrastructure and logistics networks invariably serve as catalysts for regional economic development and create new avenues for local business expansion." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
