The Range Rover SV Black has been launched in the Indian market, priced at ₹3.5 crore ex-showroom. The luxury SUV features a Narvic Black exterior scheme, a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 engine, and an upgraded interior cabin.

The automotive market has seen the introduction of the Range Rover SV Black, positioned just below the ₹3.8 crore SV Ultra model. Priced at ₹3.5 crore (ex-showroom), the vehicle is designed for buyers looking for a more distinct aesthetic and high-performance configuration within the luxury segment.

Among the primary visual updates is the Narvic Black colour scheme, paired with blacked-out exterior trim elements. The grille, badging, wheels, brake callipers, and smoked tail lights are all finished in a rich, glossy black. The vehicle rides on large 23-inch wheels and utilizes an adjustable air suspension system.

Inside, the cabin features a minimalist, darkened theme with darkened chrome trim on the steering wheel, graphite wood trim along the centre console, and plush carpeting. The second row is equipped with individual captain seats featuring a wingback design, full reclining capability, calf rests, and individual entertainment screens.

Additional rear-cabin amenities include electrically operated sun blinds, an elaborate centre console with concealed cupholders, an electrically rising centre table, a touchscreen control panel, individual headphones, and a refrigerator integrated into the centre seatback, which includes heavy crystal glasses.

Under the hood, the SV Black is powered by a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 engine. The unit delivers 606.5 bhp and 76.4 kg-m of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The manufacturer claims the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds.

Despite its performance capabilities and ostentatious configuration, the SUV maintains the off-road capabilities associated with the Range Rover line, retaining a picnic-bench tailgate and ride quality designed to absorb road undulations.

"The launch of high-end luxury vehicles like the Range Rover SV Black at a ₹3.5 crore price point highlights the consistent demand within the ultra-high-net-worth segment. For businesses and brands operating at the pinnacle of luxury retail, success relies on meticulous attention to product differentiation, bespoke design, and delivering an uncompromising customer experience that justifies premium pricing." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
