NEW DELHI — IHG Hotels & Resorts announced on Friday that it has signed a management agreement with Entry Point Hotels & Resorts Private Limited to develop the Holiday Inn Raipur in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
According to the company's statement, the upcoming property will feature 156 keys and is scheduled to open its doors to guests in the first quarter of 2031.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented on the development, stating that the signing aligns with the city's ongoing growth as a key administrative and commercial centre. He noted that the project introduces a recognised brand to a market with diverse travel needs and reflects the company's focus on entering destinations with long-term potential.
Presently, IHG operates 53 hotels across seven brands in India. The company also maintains a strong development pipeline, with 110 hotels slated to open over the next three to five years.
"The expansion of global hospitality brands into emerging administrative and commercial centres like Naya Raipur demonstrates a maturing regional business ecosystem. Long-term pipeline projects of this scale highlight sustained investor and operator confidence in India's secondary and tertiary markets. As infrastructure improves across these growing commercial hubs, demand for structured hospitality offerings will continue to rise, presenting solid opportunities for regional development partnerships." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
