Honasa Consumer Limited has elevated Vipul Maheshwari to Chief Product & Technology Officer, effective October 23, 2026. The move supports the company's broader push toward artificial intelligence integration across its seven beauty and personal care brands.

NEW DELHI — Honasa Consumer Limited, the parent company of beauty and personal care brand Mamaearth, announced on Friday the elevation of Vipul Maheshwari to the position of Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO). The appointment is effective October 23, 2026.

Maheshwari previously served as the Executive Vice President of Product and Data at the company. In his new role, he will oversee Honasa’s product, technology, engineering, and analytics functions. According to the company, his primary mandate is to accelerate Honasa’s artificial intelligence transformation and develop an "agentic AI vision," referring to systems designed to execute multi-step workflows with human oversight.

The management change coincides with a strategic shift toward technology-led operations at Honasa. The company stated it is currently developing AI-powered tools and intelligent workflows intended to simplify processes, automate routine tasks, and facilitate faster decision-making across its portfolio of seven beauty and personal care brands.

An alumnus of IIT Delhi with a master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, Maheshwari has spent six years with Honasa. Prior to joining the firm, he held professional positions at logistics firm Delhivery and Global Analytics India Pvt. Ltd.

Varun Alagh, Co-founder and CEO of Honasa, noted that the internal promotion reflects the company's objective to cultivate leadership from within while investing in internal capabilities for its next phase of growth.

Meanwhile, Honasa Consumer Limited shares traded lower on Friday. The stock fell 3.45 per cent to ₹427.15 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) by 1:30 PM, compared to its previous close of ₹442.40, with sell orders outpacing buy orders. At this price level, the company's market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹13,926 crore. Despite the intraday decline, the stock has delivered returns of over 55 per cent over the past year, outperforming the Nifty 500 index over the same period.

"The elevation of an internal leader like Vipul Maheshwari to the CPTO role demonstrates Honasa Consumer's focus on continuity as it scales its technology infrastructure. Transitioning toward an AI-driven operating model requires deep institutional knowledge combined with strong technical execution. For consumer brands operating at scale, embedding automation and data-led workflows can significantly improve operational efficiency and decision-making speed across diverse product portfolios." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
