Yandra Haragopal has taken over as the Managing Director of NABARD Financial Services (NABFINS). Prior to this appointment, Haragopal served as the Managing Director of Delhi-based NABCONS, a Nasscom-promoted company, for a tenure of over two and a half years.

NABFINS is a Bengaluru-based arm of NABARD that operates primarily within the microfinance sector. The organisation is tasked with providing low-income groups with access to financial services at affordable costs. Additionally, it offers need-based and cash-flow-based credit services to support its target demographic.

Speaking on his new role, Haragopal highlighted the operational focus of the organisation. He stated that NABFINS plays a critical role in the microfinance sector by driving financial inclusion, banking the unbanked, and meeting the credit needs of the bottom of the pyramid.

"Leadership changes in organizations focused on financial inclusion and microfinance are crucial for maintaining operational momentum. With his prior experience heading NABCONS, Yandra Haragopal steps into a vital role at NABFINS. His leadership will be instrumental in continuing to serve low-income groups and addressing the credit needs at the grassroots level." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
