Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced a series of welfare, healthcare, and infrastructure initiatives focused on tribal areas. These measures include the 'Tribal Health Infrastructure Completion Mission', digital health record programs, and economic development projects like Araku Coffee cultivation.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stated on Saturday that his administration is working toward providing complete health protection to all residents in the state. Speaking at a press conference in Gannelli village, Naidu emphasized that individuals residing in hilly regions should not have to travel long distances to access medical care.

As part of these efforts, the state is implementing Sanjeevani, a health record digitization program designed to streamline healthcare access. The Chief Minister described the initiative as a potential benchmark for both the state and the country. Additionally, the government has initiated the shipment of blood samples via drones from tribal areas to larger hospitals to improve medical logistics.

To bolster healthcare services in tribal regions, the state government is advancing a ₹250-crore 'Tribal Health Infrastructure Completion Mission'. Alongside healthcare, the administration has focused on basic infrastructure development, laying 900 kilometers of roads in tribal areas at a cost of ₹1,000 crore, providing tap water to 1.6 lakh households, and planning the installation of rooftop solar power units.

Economic development initiatives were also highlighted during the address. The government has encouraged the cultivation of Araku Coffee across an additional one lakh acres to enhance local incomes. With a growing inflow of tourists to the Araku region, the administration noted that extending homestay services will create further income opportunities for tribal households.

In the education and employment sector, Naidu promised to skill up tribal youth to secure employment opportunities in industries establishing operations in the Alluri Sitaramaraju district. The government has assured training for one lakh youth over the next three years. Furthermore, the Chief Minister announced that Godavari River water will be brought through the Polavaram Left Canal to Anakapalli on September 2.

During his address, Naidu also criticized the previous YSRCP administration, alleging that the former government mishandled state systems, caused issues related to spurious liquor, and created discrepancies in the 2018 Group-I examinations.

"The focus on improving healthcare logistics, such as drone-based blood sample delivery and targeted infrastructure investments in tribal regions, highlights the critical role of public sector execution in underserved areas. For businesses and entrepreneurs, regional development projects like expanding Araku Coffee cultivation and boosting local tourism homestays open up new avenues for rural market integration and decentralized economic growth." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
