Information technology major Cognizant announced on Thursday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire DyFlex Solutions, an AI-led SAP transformation firm based in Australia.
The financial consideration for the acquisition has not been disclosed by the companies.
Founded in 2011, DyFlex operates as an SAP Platinum Partner, providing advisory, consulting, implementation, and managed services across the SAP ecosystem in Australia and New Zealand. The firm employs over 300 people, maintaining multiple office locations across the region alongside a delivery presence in the Philippines.
DyFlex specializes in SAP transformation, including AI-led process advisory spanning finance, digital supply chain, asset maintenance, human capital management, and data and analytics. Its service delivery utilizes proprietary methods, accelerators, and reusable assets enhanced with artificial intelligence.
According to Cognizant, the proposed transaction aims to strengthen its enterprise platform, AI, and SAP capabilities in the Australia and New Zealand region. It is also expected to bolster domain expertise across sectors such as mining and resources, energy and utilities, manufacturing, logistics, the public sector, and the mid-market sector.
Roshan Subudhi, Senior Vice President and Head of Intelligent Enterprise Platforms at Cognizant, stated that the acquisition would combine DyFlex’s SAP expertise with Cognizant’s Frontier and Autonomous Enterprise capabilities and global delivery scale.
Following the completion of the transaction, Cognizant plans to integrate DyFlex’s regional SAP expertise and proprietary accelerators with its own AI platforms, including Neuro AI Enterprise Core, the Cognizant SAP Agentic AI Platform, and Frontier offerings.
Carla Ramchand, Managing Director ANZ at Cognizant, noted that clients in Australia and New Zealand are increasingly looking for practical pathways to modernize core platforms while adopting cloud, data, and AI capabilities.
The transaction is subject to required regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, with the companies expecting the deal to close in the first quarter of 2027. Until the transaction officially closes, Cognizant and DyFlex will continue to operate as separate businesses.
"This acquisition highlights a clear industry trend where global IT majors are actively acquiring specialized regional players to enhance their capabilities in enterprise platforms and artificial intelligence. By integrating DyFlex's established local footprint and SAP expertise in Australia and New Zealand with its own global delivery scale and AI platforms, Cognizant is positioning itself to better serve enterprise clients undergoing complex digital transformations. For mid-sized firms in the tech ecosystem, building specialized domain expertise and proprietary assets remains a strong strategy for attracting strategic interest." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
