EAAA India Alternatives Ltd, an alternative investment platform and a subsidiary of Edelweiss Financial Services, has fixed a price band of ₹1,585 to ₹1,665 per share for its upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO). The public issue aims to raise ₹1,200 crore, valuing the company at ₹10,765 crore at the upper end of the price band.
According to a public announcement, the subscription window for the public issue will open on October 26 and close on October 28. Bidding for anchor investors is scheduled to take place on October 23.
The IPO is structured entirely as an Offer For Sale (OFS) by the promoter, the Edelweiss Group. There is no fresh issue component in this public offering. Consequently, the company itself will not receive any proceeds from the IPO, and the entire transaction amount will go directly to the selling shareholder.
The current issue size of ₹1,200 crore reflects a reduction from the ₹1,500 crore originally proposed in the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) filed with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in January. Earlier in March, Edelweiss Financial Services completed a stake sale of 4.4 per cent in EAAA India Alternatives for ₹375 crore.
At the lower end of the price band, the company's valuation stands at ₹10,248 crore, resulting in an implied market capitalisation of ₹10,765 crore at the upper end. Following the closure of the subscription period, the company's shares are expected to list on both the BSE and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 2.
Established in 2008, EAAA India Alternatives brings over 15 years of experience in managing long-term capital. The platform operates a diversified, multi-strategy model across various alternative asset classes, focusing particularly on income and yield solutions for its clients. Its portfolio encompasses real assets, including energy and transportation infrastructure, commercial real estate, and private credit offering financing solutions across the risk spectrum. The company maintains operational offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, GIFT City, and Singapore.
In terms of allocation, the IPO reserves 50 per cent of the offer for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 15 per cent for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs), and the remaining 35 per cent for retail investors.
Axis Capital, Jefferies India, Motilal Oswal, and Nuvama Wealth are serving as the book-running lead managers for the issue, while MUFG Intime India has been appointed as the registrar.
"The decision by Edelweiss Financial Services to proceed with an Offer For Sale for EAAA India Alternatives reflects a strategic monetization of its alternative asset management arm. Because this IPO is entirely an OFS, no fresh capital enters the company itself, meaning the valuation relies heavily on the existing asset portfolio and market sentiment toward alternative investment platforms. Investors should closely evaluate the multi-strategy asset mix and institutional allocation breakdown before participating." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
