Global Capability Centre enabler ANSR is weighing an initial public offering in 2027. The profitable company plans to fund its expansion, share growth benefits with employees, and invest further in artificial intelligence.

Global Capability Centre (GCC) setup and operations firm ANSR is considering an initial public offering (IPO) in 2027. The proposed public offering aims to provide an exit route for long-standing investors while funding the company's ongoing expansion plans.

Backed by investors including Accel Partners, Accenture, and ServiceNow, the profitable company also intends to share the benefits of its growth with its employees. Alongside the IPO plans, ANSR stated it will invest further in artificial intelligence (AI) and 1Wrk, its internal arm covering talent acquisition, work planning, and operating models.

According to Vikram Ahuja, Co-Founder of ANSR, the Indian GCC industry is projected to become a $100-billion market and contribute about 3 percent to India's GDP by 2030. The sector currently comprises about 2,000 centres employing over 25 lakh professionals, with 100 to 150 new GCCs established annually.

ANSR has set up more than 250 GCCs to date, with approximately 30 percent of those located in Hyderabad. The company operates a 2,000-seat office at RMZ Spire in Knowledge City, housing over 300 staff members.

Market demand is increasingly shifting toward emerging technologies. Approximately 80 percent of ANSR's portfolio customers are currently building AI Centres of Excellence. Data from the company's analysis indicates that nearly two-thirds of new GCC roles require AI skills, with demand for AI-related talent growing by about 45 percent year-on-year. ANSR hired more than 2,400 specialists for AI-related roles over a recent three-month period, alongside over 120 global leaders, including Global Heads of AI.

Overall GCC hiring grew by about 12 to 15 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2026, outpacing the broader IT and IT-enabled services sector. Existing centres are continuing to expand by adding technology, innovation, and AI-related functions across more than 200 job families, including software engineering, data science, analytics, finance, and procurement.

Regarding talent sourcing, ANSR reports that about 30 to 35 percent of GCC recruits transition from other GCCs, around 20 percent come from product companies and startups, and the remainder originate from IT services companies. Annual attrition in the broader GCC industry remains below 14 percent—compared to an estimated 25 to 30 percent in IT services—while attrition among ANSR's portfolio companies is reported to be below 7 percent.

"ANSR's consideration for a 2027 IPO highlights the rapid maturation and institutionalization of the Indian Global Capability Centre ecosystem. As enterprises increasingly transition their operations to India and pivot toward artificial intelligence capabilities, enablers in this space are scaling profitably. For investors and market observers, the shift toward high-value technology functions and specialized talent acquisition will remain a key growth driver leading up to their public market debut." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
