Consumer electricals and electronics major V-Guard Industries Ltd has announced its financial results for the second quarter of FY27, registering a significant rise in profitability and revenue.
The company's consolidated profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter stood at ₹111.67 crore, marking a 71 per cent increase compared to ₹65.29 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Consolidated net revenue from operations for the quarter reached ₹1,852.89 crore, reflecting a growth of 38.2 per cent over the revenue of ₹1,340.92 crore reported in the same period last year.
For the six-month period ended September 30, V-Guard reported a consolidated net revenue from operations of ₹3,663.54 crore, representing a 30.5 per cent growth over the ₹2,807 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year. Consolidated PAT for the same six-month period stood at ₹241.92 crore, up 73.9 per cent from ₹139.14 crore previously.
Commenting on the performance, Mithun K Chittilappilly, Chairman & Managing Director of V-Guard, stated that the business delivered another quarter of robust and consistent performance. He noted that all segments posted strong growth, driven by a combination of price and healthy volume growth across most categories, supported by the inherent resilience of the business, correct focus, and supportive market conditions.
Addressing external challenges, Chittilappilly mentioned that the West Asia crisis continues to pose margin challenges, which the company is actively mitigating through various actions. He added that management continues to monitor the geopolitical situation closely and will take appropriate measures to protect supplies and margins while remaining hopeful of delivering healthy growth in upcoming quarters.
"V-Guard's latest financial results demonstrate how established enterprises can achieve sustained, broad-based growth through balanced volume and price expansion across categories. A 71% surge in quarterly PAT alongside a 38.2% rise in net revenue indicates solid operational execution and healthy market demand. However, management's acknowledgment of external headwinds, such as the West Asia crisis impacting margins, highlights the critical need for supply chain resilience and proactive risk management in today's interconnected global business environment." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
