NEW DELHI — Defence and aerospace technology firm Apollo Micro Systems has announced that it has bagged orders worth ₹81 crore. The fresh contracts have been awarded by defence public sector units (PSUs), state governments, and private industries.
Established in 1985, Apollo Micro Systems specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced defence electronics, embedded systems, electronic warfare suites, electro-optic systems, and complete weapon system solutions. Its primary clientele includes the Indian Armed Forces as well as global customers.
The company functions as an established tier-I supplier to key entities such as the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), and the Ministry of Defence. Furthermore, it holds a license to manufacture missile-class weapon systems under the Arms Act, 1959.
Alongside the new contract wins, Apollo Micro Systems recently released its financial results for the June quarter. The company posted a 43 percent increase in net profit, reaching ₹25 crore compared to ₹18 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Revenue during the quarter surged by 88 percent to ₹251 crore, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) grew 31 percent year-on-year to ₹54 crore. As of August, the company’s consolidated order book stood at ₹1,704 crore.
Baddam Karunakar Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Micro Systems, stated that the firm aims to build on its ongoing growth momentum through focused execution and alignment with the changing needs of the defence sector. He noted that the company plans to strengthen its operational capabilities to contribute further to national defence preparedness.
