SINGAPORE — Armstrong Fluid Technology, a global provider of fluid-flow and whole-building mechanical solutions, is showcasing its latest heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at BEX Asia 2026. The green building and sustainability exhibition is taking place this week at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, with Armstrong exhibiting at the Canada National Pavilion.
As commercial and industrial buildings across the Asia-Pacific region face increasing requirements for performance, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, the company is demonstrating how system-level optimization can support architects, consulting engineers, and contractors.
The company's presentation centers on two core offerings: the Integrated Designer tool and Design Envelope technology. The Integrated Designer capability, part of Armstrong's ADEPT selection tool, is designed to simplify the selection and sizing of mechanical equipment from a single interface. According to the company, the workflow includes real-time system performance estimates and one-click export of equipment schedules to reduce manual calculations.
For energy-efficient operations, Armstrong is highlighting its Design Envelope Permanent Magnet (DEPM) IVS4380 pumps. The system-level optimization technology uses sensorless parallel pumping to adjust equipment operation as building demand shifts throughout the day. The company notes that HVAC systems typically operate at part load for about 90 percent of their operating hours, making part-load optimization critical for reducing energy consumption.
Ashok Joshi, Managing Director for India and APAC at Armstrong Fluid Technology, noted that building systems are frequently designed around peak-demand assumptions rather than actual part-load operating conditions. He stated that tools like the Integrated Designer and Design Envelope allow engineers and building owners to right-size systems from the initial stage to reduce energy and equipment costs.
Armstrong operates globally across multiple industries, providing digital and mechanical products aimed at improving system reliability and reducing operating costs. The company maintains a stated corporate target of achieving net-zero carbon operations by 2030.
"The focus on part-load optimization and digital design tools highlights a practical shift in commercial real estate and infrastructure development. With buildings accounting for significant energy consumption, integrating software-driven selection with efficient hardware helps businesses reduce operating costs while meeting strict environmental standards. Companies that prioritize efficiency and right-sized infrastructure will find stronger long-term value in sustainable asset management." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
