Agri-tech company AutoNXT has introduced its Autonomous Electric Aero Tiller, a new agricultural machinery platform that combines electric propulsion, autonomous navigation, precision technology, and cloud connectivity.
According to a media statement, the newly launched platform merges the mechanical design of conventional aero tillers with an integrated electric powertrain, intelligent implement controls, and cloud-based connectivity. Unlike traditional tractor-mounted systems that rely on diesel engines, the new machinery utilizes electric traction motors, a high-capacity lithium battery pack, and an intelligent battery management system.
The machine features an autonomous control system capable of planning field coverage, performing automated headland turns, avoiding obstacles, and resuming operations after interruptions. This allows farmers to operate the equipment with minimal human intervention.
The Autonomous Electric Aero Tiller is designed for applications such as biomass mixing, soil aeration, seedbed preparation, and crop residue incorporation. The system continuously monitors parameters including ground speed, working depth, and wheel slip, which allows it to maintain consistent operating conditions and enhance soil preparation uniformity across fields.
In terms of specifications, the tiller comes with a 1.8-metre working width, a working depth of up to 180 mm, and 36 heavy-duty steel aerator blades. It can achieve operating speeds of up to 5 km/h and a field capacity of up to 1.5 acres per hour. Weighing approximately 450 kg with an 8 mm frame, the machine is built for demanding agricultural environments while maintaining a compact profile and low maintenance requirements.
Commenting on the launch, Kaustubh Dhondhe, Founder and CEO of AutoNXT, stated that autonomous agriculture focuses on making field operations more predictable, measurable, and intelligent. He noted that the electric aero tiller integrates precision control, autonomous navigation, and connected monitoring into a single platform to help farmers adopt smarter mechanization and reduce dependence on conventional tractor-based operations.
Pankaj Goyal, Co-Founder and COO of AutoNXT, added that agriculture is shifting toward a future where electrification and automation drive productivity. He stated that the new tiller combines familiar agricultural machinery with intelligent technology to lower operating costs, improve consistency, and support sustainable farming practices.
"The introduction of the Autonomous Electric Aero Tiller by AutoNXT highlights a clear industry shift toward farm mechanization powered by electrification and automation. By addressing traditional reliance on diesel engines and integrating cloud-connected monitoring, the company is tackling operational efficiency and sustainability in agriculture. For the broader startup ecosystem, this product launch demonstrates how hardware-focused tech enterprises are creating practical solutions for traditional sectors like farming." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
