NEW DELHI: Avaada Group announced on Tuesday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC) to facilitate the development of a 300-acre Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus in Hisar, Haryana.
The proposed project entails an estimated investment of around ₹10,000 crore and holds the potential to generate more than 5,000 employment opportunities. According to the company, the campus is envisioned as a next-generation green industrial ecosystem powered by reliable, traceable, and round-the-clock renewable energy.
The development is designed to support industries seeking to decarbonise their operations, strengthen energy security, and enhance their readiness for evolving global carbon and sustainability requirements. These include regulatory frameworks such as the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, stated that the campus will combine reliable renewable energy with industrial infrastructure designed for low-carbon and CBAM-ready manufacturing. He noted that the initiative aims to attract global investments and technology while catalysing a new generation of green industrial development in the State.
Under the terms of the MoU, the Government of Haryana, through HEPC, will facilitate the development of the park as a State-supported Green Industrial and Zero-CBAM Industrial Park. This facilitation will include support for appropriate industrial-park status, exploration of a customised package of incentives, common infrastructure, connectivity, utilities, and expediting statutory approvals via the State’s single-window mechanism.
The partnership will also target anchor investors, technology partners, and industrial participants. Additionally, Avaada Group and the Haryana Government plan to explore joint international investment roadshows across key markets—including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, and South Korea—to showcase investment opportunities within the proposed ecosystem.
The initiative aligns with Haryana’s broader focus on attracting investments, strengthening industrial infrastructure, and creating employment opportunities. The ₹10,000 crore investment is expected to boost industrial activity in Hisar and contribute to the growth of a regional green industrial ecosystem.
The MoU establishes a formal framework for cooperation between Avaada Group and HEPC to streamline investment facilitation and ease of doing business in Haryana, with HEPC acting as the key interface for coordinating with relevant State authorities.
"The partnership between Avaada Group and the Haryana Government highlights a growing shift toward sustainable industrial infrastructure in India. By integrating round-the-clock renewable energy with regulatory readiness for frameworks like the EU's CBAM, this ₹10,000 crore project addresses a critical future requirement for global manufacturers. For businesses navigating strict international carbon norms, access to traceable clean energy within an integrated domestic ecosystem provides a strong competitive advantage while driving regional employment and economic growth." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
