Battery and flashlight maker Eveready Industries India Ltd has reported a consolidated net profit of ₹31.92 crore for the September quarter of FY27 on a year-on-year basis.
According to a regulatory filing from the Burman family-promoted firm, the company had posted a net loss of ₹7.91 crore in the July-September period a year ago.
Revenue from operations for the quarter increased 10.72 per cent to ₹428.24 crore. In the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the operational revenue was recorded at ₹386.78 crore.
The company's total income, which includes other income, reached ₹431.5 crore, marking an 11.48 per cent increase during the September quarter.
Meanwhile, total expenses for Eveready Industries rose by 11.93 per cent to ₹391.54 crore during the same period.
Chief Executive Officer Anirban Banerjee stated that this marks the eighth consecutive quarter of revenue growth for the firm. He noted that alkaline batteries and rechargeable products remain key growth drivers, alongside portable liquid vaporisers which expand the company's mosquito protection portfolio.
As part of its financial management, Eveready Industries reduced its net debt to ₹153 crore as of September 30, 2026, down from ₹164 crore recorded at the end of Q1 FY27.
Looking ahead, the company stated that it remains focused on scaling up its alkaline portfolio, building adoption of liquid vaporisers, and expanding other rechargeable products. Higher input costs remain a watchpoint for the firm, which intends to continue reviewing pricing in line with input cost movements while progressing with the ramp-up of its Jammu facility.
"Eveready Industries' return to profitability and its eighth consecutive quarter of revenue growth demonstrate the resilience of legacy brands when they successfully adapt their product portfolios. Expanding into segments like rechargeable products and portable liquid vaporisers allows the company to capture new market demand. However, monitoring rising input costs and managing pricing strategies will remain critical for sustaining these margins as operations scale." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
