The partnership focuses on expanding manufacturing and market opportunities for optical transceivers, Bidirectional Optical Sub-Assembly (BOSA), and other high-speed optical connectivity solutions.

The collaboration brings together Gemtek's technical capabilities in optical communications, photonic integration, and product development, alongside Dixon's established manufacturing scale, supply-chain network, and market presence in India. Gemtek's current optical connectivity portfolio spans solutions from 1G to 1.6T, including optical transceivers, small form-factor pluggables (SFPs), BOSA, and related high-speed options. Utilizing Electronic Integrated Circuit and Photonic Integrated Circuit (EIC-PIC) photonic integration and advanced manufacturing processes, Gemtek is working on a roadmap extending toward 800G, 1.6T, and next-generation photonic integration technologies.
