Manipal Hospital Millers Road Launches Momstory for Comprehensive Women and Maternity Healthcare

Manipal Hospital Millers Road has announced the launch of Momstory, a new healthcare initiative designed to provide comprehensive maternity and women's healthcare services under one roof. The offering is structured to deliver a personalised maternity experience spanning pre-conception, pregnancy, childbirth, postnatal recovery, and postpartum wellness.

The initiative integrates advanced medical infrastructure with multidisciplinary clinical expertise to create a supportive environment for women and their families. A central component of Momstory is the Premoms programme, which extends care beyond the physical hospital premises through online and offline wellness sessions. This programme incorporates a multidisciplinary team including dietitians, physiotherapists, lactation consultants, and psychologists to guide women through pre-conception, pregnancy, and postpartum phases.

The launch event was attended by chief guest Dr. Vidya Desai, Senior Consultant, alongside the hospital's clinical team to mark the introduction of the new maternity, neonatal, and paediatric care framework at the Millers Road facility.

Dr. Geeth Monnappa, Lead Consultant for Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Manipal Hospital Millers Road, noted that the initiative addresses the continuous clinical guidance and emotional support required by women across various transitions of motherhood.

In addition to maternity care, Momstory includes dedicated speciality clinics targeting different stages of a woman's life. These clinics focus on specific healthcare requirements such as PCOS care, adolescent care, and menopause care, addressing evolving physical and emotional needs.

Dr. Mahima Bakshi, Strategy Consultant at Momstory Manipal Hospitals, highlighted the focus on overall patient experience and value-added services designed to maintain clinical safety standards while making the motherhood journey more comfortable. Dr. Mahima also noted plans to introduce the Momstory brand across other units of the hospital network following its rollout in South India at the Millers Road unit.
