NOVVA Group and Mongolia's MDDIC Sign MOU for Green AI Infrastructure

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia — Clean energy infrastructure platform NOVVA Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mongolia's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications (MDDIC). The agreement focuses on the development of green data centres, renewable energy, and AI-ready digital infrastructure in the country.

The MOU was signed at the Host Country House during the 'Sovereign by Design — Mongolia's Green AI Data Centre Initiative' event, which was convened on August 25, 2026, by the Government of Mongolia at UNCCD COP17. The initiative was opened by Prime Minister H.E. N. Uchral and Deputy Prime Minister H.E. T. Dorjkhand, with participation from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and other international partners. The program outlines Mongolia's objective to establish itself as a primary green AI data centre hub among dryland economies.

The agreement was signed by Vincent Wen, Managing Director of Novva, and H.E. Nomin Chinbat, Minister of MDDIC. The scope of the MOU includes energy-efficient data centres, AI-ready infrastructure, site readiness, policy consultation, and renewable energy and storage solutions such as solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

This partnership follows a technical forum titled 'Building Mongolia's AI Future', hosted by Novva on August 22, 2026, during UNCCD COP17, which engaged local stakeholders regarding clean-powered digital infrastructure opportunities in the region.

The engagement in Mongolia builds upon Novva's existing global portfolio. The company's operations include a 120 MWp solar project in the Philippines, a 37.8 MWac solar portfolio in Colombia, and an investment in battery innovator InoBat through Bromo Capital.
