NEW DELHI: Parle Biscuits, the company behind popular household brands such as Parle-G, Monaco, Hide & Seek, and Melody, has announced the appointment of George Kovoor as its Chief Executive Officer. The appointment is set to take effect on September 1, 2026.
According to the company, Kovoor brings a distinguished career spanning over three decades at PepsiCo, accompanied by extensive experience across various consumer businesses and markets. Prior to joining Parle Biscuits, Kovoor served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Indian beverages at PepsiCo before stepping down from the position in March 2025.
Commenting on the leadership transition, Ajay Chauhan, Managing Director of Parle Biscuits, stated that the company looks forward to working closely with Kovoor to build upon Parle's established foundation. Chauhan noted that the appointment aims to strengthen the company's capabilities and open new opportunities for sustainable growth as the business continues to evolve alongside the changing needs of Indian consumers.
Chauhan further highlighted that Kovoor’s demonstrated ability to drive results, develop talent, and navigate complex markets will prove invaluable to the organization. The leadership change is expected to reinforce Parle's executive team as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
