Diversified global hospitality and lifestyle company Spice Lounge Food Works has announced the launch of its Food Emulsifier and Agro Division. The new vertical encompasses agri-sourcing, processing, and agrochemicals, serving as part of the company's backwards integration strategy.
According to the company, the new division is designed to supply restaurants, quick-service restaurants (QSR), and live-events businesses, including Xora World. In addition to supporting internal operations, the vertical will independently serve hotels, QSR chains, and food processing units as a B2B food emulsifier and ingredient supplier.
Spice Lounge Food Works stated that food emulsifiers, agro-chemical partnerships, farm-gate sourcing tie-ups, and processing infrastructure are currently underway. Subsequent phases will involve scaling up processing capacity, onboarding B2B and institutional supplies, and pursuing export and global joint-venture partnerships.
The company's supply chain operations under this new division have set a revenue target of over ₹1,200 crore.
This development follows the company's recent expansion in India’s live entertainment sector through its events and entertainment vertical, Xora World. Xora World previously unveiled a four-event portfolio spanning Goa, Tirupati, and Hyderabad. Headlined by two playback singers and a global dance festival, the line-up is projected to generate over ₹20 crore in revenue.
Spice Lounge Food Works operates as a global hospitality and lifestyle company managing proprietary and franchised brands across food, beverage, and experiential sectors. Its brand ecosystem includes international franchise relationships and original concepts such as Blaze Kebabs, Xora, Salud, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Wing Zone.
"The expansion of Spice Lounge Food Works into the food emulsifier and agro division demonstrates a strategic approach to supply chain management and backwards integration. By controlling agri-sourcing and processing, the company can streamline its B2B operations while serving hotels, QSR chains, and its own hospitality ecosystem. Targeting a ₹1,200 crore revenue stream through structured infrastructure, partnerships, and institutional supply onboarding highlights the potential of scaling B2B verticals within the broader food and hospitality sector." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
