The Taipei Music Expo (TMEX) is scheduled for August 27 to 30, 2026, at the Taipei Music Center. The four-day B2B2C event combines an industry market with the JAM JAM ASIA festival, featuring international professionals, global brands, and panel discussions including the creative team behind Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters.

The Taipei Music Expo (TMEX) has announced its return for August 27 to 30, 2026, at the Taipei Music Center. Operating under the theme "Tune in to Taiwan. Sync with Asia," the event aims to connect music scenes across the Asia-Pacific region by bringing together more than 100 industry professionals from 15 markets and over 60 exhibiting brands.

Participating entities on the exhibition floor include prominent names such as Goldenvoice, Live Nation, Fuji Rock Festival, Summer Sonic, YG PLUS, Zandari Festa, MPMG, Zepp, Beggars Group, and Secretly Group. Additionally, the event features regional music export agencies, including Thailand's Creative Economy Agency, the Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association, Sounds Australia, and Taiwan's TAICCA.

TMEX functions as a B2B2C platform structured around five core pillars: brand exhibition, business matching, forums, emerging talent showcases, and fan engagement. The schedule reserves the first two days strictly for industry delegates, while the weekend opens to the general public for live performances and showcases.

A notable highlight of the TMEX Forum is the opening session featuring the creative team behind Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters. Director Maggie Kang, producer Michelle Wong, and THEBLACKLABEL songwriter Danny Chung are scheduled to discuss the film's impact on Asia-Pacific artists entering global markets. Other forum highlights include a Taiwan debut by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Howie Weinberg, sessions on generative AI in music production hosted with Suno and KKBOX, panels on international artist marketing, and discussions on live event sustainability.

Running concurrently with the industry market is the JAM JAM ASIA music festival, scheduled for August 29 and 30 across seven stages. The festival features more than 80 acts from 14 markets, utilizing a layout that includes four indoor air-conditioned halls, a 3,000-capacity outdoor stage, free stages for emerging artists, and overnight DJ takeovers.

The festival lineup spans diverse genres and geographies, featuring Japanese city pop artist Taeko Onuki, Filipino American neo-soul artist ((( O ))), Indonesian metal trio Voice of Baceprot, Bangkok rapper Réjizz, and Korean Australian rap collective 1300. Additional performances include ATARASHII GAKKO!, DJ KRUSH, HYUKOH with Kuo of Sunset Rollercoaster, and Taiwanese math rock band Elephant Gym. International exchange efforts are further supported through partnerships with global festivals, presenting cross-border showcase acts such as TV Tairiku Ondo from Fuji Rock Festival.

"The Taipei Music Expo demonstrates how creative industries are systematically building cross-border platforms to connect regional talent with global markets. By integrating B2B business matching, industry forums, and public music festivals like JAM JAM ASIA, the event creates a sustainable ecosystem for labels, agencies, and artists. For entrepreneurs and businesses operating in the entertainment and creative sectors, structured networking platforms and regional export partnerships are essential for scaling operations internationally and navigating global distribution." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
