Taiwan-Based ICP DAS-BMP to Showcase Medical TPU Portfolio at Medical Manufacturing Asia 2026

HSINCHU — Taiwan-based medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) manufacturer ICP DAS-BMP has announced its upcoming participation at Medical Manufacturing Asia 2026. The event is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 11 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore, where the company will exhibit at Booth 2U20.

ICP DAS-BMP will exhibit alongside its manufacturing partner, Towards Buddha Co., Ltd. During the event, the companies will showcase a comprehensive portfolio of medical TPU products alongside integrated medical tubing extrusion and original equipment and design manufacturing (OEM/ODM) services tailored for medical device manufacturers.

A primary focus of the exhibition will be two specific TPU innovations designed to address critical manufacturing requirements. The first is the Low-Migration Arothane™ ARP-B20 TPU, which complies with ISO 10993 standards and is designed for implantable applications of up to 90 days. Its formulation is engineered to minimize additive migration to the surface of processed medical devices to help maintain long-term stability.

The second featured product line is the Low-Friction Series, which features an inherently smooth surface designed to eliminate the need for secondary coatings or post-processing. Made entirely of TPU and free from PFAS and plasticizers, the series aims to offer medical professionals improved comfort and control when handling invasive catheters with guidewires, such as central venous catheters and nasogastric tubes.

In addition to these featured products, ICP DAS-BMP will present its broader TPU portfolio for medical applications. The ARP, ALP, and ALC series support devices with limited, prolonged, and long-term contact durations under ISO 10993-1. For radiopaque applications, the ARP/ALP/ALC-B20/B40 series contains 20% to 40% barium sulfate, while the ARP-W/WG series incorporates 40% to 60% tungsten to improve visibility in invasive or implantable devices. Furthermore, the Engineering Arothane™ EARP series provides clarity and mechanical strength for precision components like Luer-Lock connectors and orthodontic parts.
